how to configure outlook express for tot adsl

PostAuthor: parrot » March 13, 2008, 10:35 am

Can anyone help me configure outlook express to work with tot adsl lines? I suppose I need the smtp address and other info. The technician who installed the modem took the pamphlet with him so I don't have that info.
Thanks

Parot go to TOT and get a new pamphlet on a personal note I don't use Outlook exp.
if your pc crashes you lose all your stored e-mail unless you leave it on the server
which could be to much

Parrot these are the settings for TOT Goldcyber:

DNS 203.113.24.199 and 203.113.127.199

SMTP smtp-adsl.totonline.net

PM me if you need different settings.

You can receive mail from (AFIK) any POP server but you must use one of these SMTP servers to send mail.

smtp.totisp.net

smtp-adsl.totonline.net (same as jackspratt posted above).

Thanks for the assist. As it turns out, I just needed to go to my control panel, internet options, connections tab, and check the block marked "dial whenever a network connection is not present" instead of the block marked "always dial my default connection". That did the trick for both my loxinfo and gmail accounts.

Thanks again for your response.
