Immigration to return to the Ek Udon hospital

PostAuthor: businessman » September 29, 2005, 12:28 pm

I know there were a lot of disgruntled people in the Udon area when immigration shut their office at the Ek Udon hospital. Not too keen to potter on down to Nong Khai for five minutes worth of 90 day reporting.
Well from November they will be back there on Mondays. :)

So they got a little bit smart and having it back in Udon.....does that mean I can report there every 90 days instead of Nong Khai, even if I got the extention there in Nong Khai???

Does this mean that the new immigration office that was supposed to be opening at the new airport (alledgedly) will not now be happening??

B-man, now that's a good rumour (did I spell it right for yawl?) but where did you hear it? Were you at a coffee klatch someplace or did the nice lady at immigration spill the beans? I looked on the Nong Khai immigration website but when you click on "english" they send you to never-neverland. #-o

I like the idea of getting my 90 day immigration check-in and my 90-day plumbing check-up at AEK Udon Hospital at the same time. Wonder if someone will bring me a cold Singha and newspaper while I'm waiting? :-k

It would seem to be a reasonable assumption that an International airport, as its called, would have both, immigration and customs officers on duty.
Dread to think what the congestion will be like if AEK is only open on Mondays.
Can anyone tell me what happens if the 90 days expires on a Friday?
Can I report 5 days early or maybe 3 days late.

polehawk,i was down at immigration to sort out a 90 reporting cock up and the subject of Udon Thani came up.One of the squad leaders said they will be returning to the Ek Udon in November on Mondays.

Val you can report seven days either side of your given reporting date.
