I have a friend that is considering a visit to Udon the next time I go there. He needs dietary fiber daily. Can it be purchased locally in 2 to 3 lb containers as in the U.S. and UK or will it be necessary for him to bring along a supply. I've visited Udon many times over the years and that is one product I don't recall seeing. Thanks in advance for your help.

I would suggest bringing it from home.
Remember, anything imported here, is higher in price here.
Be sure to put it in your checked baggage, as it will not be allowed in carry on.

Thanks for responses- One more question

If the dietary fiber is available he will purchase it there. It is a convenience issue and if it is available in the larger containers (not tablets) he will pay the price. Sorry if I wasn't clear in the first post. Thanks again for the help.

Perhaps you could be a little more spesific i.e. the kind of fibre you spoon into your water, or the roughage found in natural foods etc ???

The kind of fibre you spoon into your water. David is 74 years old and AFAIK this is his only health concern. Hope I'm doing as well when I'm his age. Thank you for the help.

Mucillin is available here. Psyllium seeds ground up with citrus flavoring. A tablespoon or so to a large glass of water. I buy it from a pharmacy down the street. 180 THB for about 6 weeks supply.
