Internet to USA/Canada working OK?

PostAuthor: polehawk » March 19, 2009, 6:51 pm

Been having trouble accessing any website I try in US or Canada all day long today. Anyone else having the same problem? I can access sites in Thailand and UK with no problem. Kind of resembles problem a while back when undersea cable was cut. Maybe it's satellite connectivity this time? TOT Ipstar is my ISP and happens with FF and IE browsers. Before anyone suggests it, I tried deleting browser cookies but didn't improve things. :-k

Don't forget the Udonmap server is actually in the USA polehawk.
That is the only 1 I access there and seems to be no issues today....

Forgot about that, Bob. No problems connecting to this site.

Get Yahoo's home page OK but clocks forever when try to access mail. Same with newspaper and bank sites in US.

My computer was unbelievably slow yesterday,,,, I ran cleanup programs, deleted cookies, everything I could think of, finally just turned it off. Everything back to normal today.

Yes, internet access outside Thailand seemed pretty slow this last week or so on TOT. Using AIS GPRS, no problem at all.

I have TTT (maxnet). Had no problems accessing U.S. based websites last evening, except for Udonmap that I could not access in several tries starting at around 8PM.

Strange problem. For a couple of days, I couldn't access Yahoo and then UdonMap and a few other sites that I generally access on a daily basis. Tried on both FF and IE7. Was able to access other less-frequently visited sites with no problems noticed. Started to wonder if I had caught a virus but Avira and Microsoft anti-virus programs ran clean. Tried uninstalling/installing FF but didn't help. Although was thinking it must be ISP related problem, I was planning on taking my pc tower to computer guy at mall to check it out but this afternoon the skies cleared and, voila!, back in business. Now getting access to everything again. 8-[
