Can a good samaritan please tell me if I can use an IP phone with MSN Messenger and if so how do I set it up? I have a headset working OK but want ot use my new IP Phone.

It depends on what IP phone you have. Some comes with all messenger (MSN, AOL, ICQ etc) support others not. If your phone supports the msn plattform the setup is easy, the phone replace your headset, so if your headset works the phone works also immediately. So it would be very good if you post some information about your IP phone.

Thanks, yes the phone is a USB connection to the PC and boasts to be MSN compatible along with skype, yahoo etc. It works fine with skype when logged on, I can scroll through my skype contacts etc on the handset and make skype to skype and skype to phone calls, but when I log onto MSN I can't get it to do the same...there just doesn't seem to be any connetion between the phone and MSN Messenger

Hmmm i can not say exactly because i'm using an msn clone in mac OSX and in Linux, so that i have not the same options and setting panel like the msn in windows. Perhaps you can check the Video and Audio Settings or use the Wizard, i can remember that there is somewhere a wizard for this. Perhaps you also need a special driver to make the phone work in msn.......

I think google knows more about it
