IS PROSTITUTION INHERENTLY WRONG ?

PostAuthor: Naam Jai » December 16, 2007, 5:51 pm

Many "farangs" marry them.
Some European countries have decriminalised them.
Some countries positively encourage them.
Are women forced or doing it out of a lack of economic choice?
Is it the worlds oldest profession?
Do all women prostitute themselves in one way or another? #-o

Why is this topic considered trolling and the controversial topic Issan people, trailer trash of Thailand? (37) acceptable.

Maybe we should set up a review panel to approve topics prior to posting.

If the girl is poor and needs money, it is not wrong for her. For the married man, definitely YES. This adultery is unfair to the wife and may lead to the breakup of the marriage. Doesn't anyone take marriage vows any more ???

Uncle Tom,

I think there is a difference. The Issan people thread started because of a posting from another site (Stickman). While that poster may well have been a troll & as well some of the subsequent postings to the thread may well have been of a trolling nature I am certain that the original poster to the Udonmap site did not post it to cause that. This post is of a different nature. It is, in my opinion, intended deliberately to cause controversy. So I will certainly not enter into the discussion except to say that... :D

Bob
thanks for your posting. I stayed away from the rubbish about Issan people for the same reason, I feel that even republishing it had the purpose of stirring controversy. It was an insult to my favorite people on this planet - the Lao / Issan people.
I don't regard this thread on prostitutes as trolling. I know there are some who will say how they are helping the Thai Economy by visiting prostitutes, yet others my share some valid opinions.
Trolling may not be all that bad, if those responding do not try to force their opinions on others, or attack others for their simple thoughts and feelings.
