LA, you are awfully kind for someone from the city of brotherly love.
Was it not Philadelphia that booed Santa Claus?
Yes, I prefer Pittsburgh over Baltimore. I can't get used to the Ravens. They should be the Colts led by Unitas!
The Cardinals, as usual, have tons of weaknesses, but they have a very good quarterback who can make things happen. If the Eagles get to Warner, it is lights out (Fai Dap).
I became a Cardinals fan back in the mid-50s. My father changed the programme from 'The Lone Ranger', which I was watching to the NFL. In those days, only one of three American stations showed football, and they showed the Cleveland Browns every week. My father was a Brown's fan. Naturally, I cheered for the opponents who were the woeful Chicago Cardinals.
The first big traumatic event took place in my life when the Chicago Cardinals became the St. Louis Cardinals in 1960. I did not watch the NFL for a few years after that.
I did see the Chicago Cardinals defeat the local Toronto Argonauts back in 1959, which was a rout 57-29 or something like that for the Cards.
Let's hope the Eagles-Cardinals game is a good one.
