Ah mate that last bit is proberbly the biggest mistake you will make, nothing in Thailand is anywhere near the same and to treat it as such is a receipe for disaster, well it was in my case :cry: :fryingpan: :guiness:

anyway for the long term if you are staying 3 months or more try renting a house or even a long stay appartment should get the latter for no more then 4000 baht a month, also allows you to have a cheap base if you want travel around good luck in all things
