As LoongLee very astutely points out, your 1st clue is the ostentatious behavior, exaggerated
body movements, in general, overcompensating for everything and can be noticed from 50ft away.
I usually find them to be a tad overly aggressive and obnoxious, but to each his own taste in life.

Those plastic surgeons are absolute magicians. In a place like Patters where the LB contingent
often approaches 30-40%, it's shocking how many tourists you see getting escorted off into
the darkness, unaware of what they're getting into. It even taken me a double-take sometimes
and I never drink to excess. I've seen them at their worst too many times (after all, they are blokes)
and prefer to keep them at a distance as I don't welcome conflict. . In the case of the photo's, the
dramatic posing is your 1st clue and there always seems to be something "not right" about the face.
The regular girls are often frightened of them and it seems to be a big joke whether or not the
"customer" is able to tell the difference. I find it all rather disingenous of the bar owners.

AA it comes with experience. some times I can spot them & some times I have to ask but all in all
when they talk most of the time that a dead give away . I know a few and they are respectful to me
which is all I can expect from any one they call me poppa in thai language when I go to the honey bar which is very rare now I play pool with them they whip my azz they are good pool players

Cali I don't buy in to that I believe when you go off to a hotel room with a lady boy you already know she is a he. & if the experience is enjoyable it none of any one business. like I said in my post which got lost LOL 555 it a business or a service they perform and they will let you know what they are. for fear of getting beat up in a hotel room. also when they talk it a dead give away. my liberal attitude is I feel

I know one who is a university graduate and working in a bar I told her why is she wasting her time in here for 3000 baht a month her reply was she could not find employment I could not answer her any more I guess 3 K is better than nothing when your food & lodging is included in your monthly salary

As Aznyron mentions, picking out the ladyboys comes with experience and although I’ve no great desire to enjoy their company in any form, I have to say some CAN appear very beautiful and natural. The voice is, of course, often the give-away.

I recall at the end of my first holiday here, waiting in the departure lounge at Phuket Airport, spotting two smashers, one quite tall. What luck, I thought (with a day or two spare in Bangkok), when I found the taller of the two sitting directly across the aisle on the plane. Well, naturally, I plucked up the courage for my introductory question and ............ This booming voice hit me. The guy on my opposite side leant forward to check for himself. I swear to this day that my reaction caused the plane to ‘wobble’. Needless to say, I felt a p**t(or not!, no pun intended). My conversation for the rest of the journey was somewhat limited and unsurprisingly, I didn’t ring the number handed to me on arrival in Bangkok. A lesson learned, I hope!

Very pretty, but trying to communicate with someone with the voice of a coal miner after a long shift would, I'm sure, cause me to immediately look elsewhere. And how much 'she' was a woman, I'll never know!
I THINK I prefer my ladies 100% as it were.

I have never had a hard time picking them out!

Usually it is one or more of the following:Adams apple,long arms,to slender in the hips,complexion,accenuated female impersonation movements,voice,aggressiveness and large hands.
