I often hear people singing its praises.
Its like the old Timex watches, it just keeps on running. I still have my 1998 Powerbook "WallStreet" with the new operating system installed which is not supported, but I found a work-a-round, yes it is slow, but still great for traveling. And I don't need to worry about spyware, adware, viral attacks, etc at this time.
But when I worked, I had a PeeCee and never had much of a problem with it either. The only problem I can remember was with Excel, and the Help Desk wanted to wipe my disk and install everything. I sent them back to there little cube. They just don't understand that it would take a week to get everything installed that I needed.
The time I let them fix it was when they offered me a new box, so I had the old and new networked and was able to get everything moved. Went from a Dell to a HP, and the HP seemed better, but the Dell was 2 years old.
I never found the old saying that Mac's were too expensive to be true. When you upgraded the PeeCee to equal the Mac, the price was about the same, plus you had peace-of-mind, that you were pretty safe from attack. Software might be another story, but being Unix based you can find what you need. The only exception is games, might have to wait a year for it to run on a Mac.
