SemiSiam, Welcome to the Forum.

If your Lao girlfriend has a passport she can stay up to 30 days at a time, with just a stamp on arrival, the same as us, (though restricted to a maximum of 90 days in 180 days).

If she applies for and gets a Tourist Visa, (at a Thai Consulate in Laos, e.g. Ventiane) she can stay for 60 days at time and then extend that by a further 30 days (upon applying at Thai Immigration in Udon or Nong Khai).

If she doesn't have a passport, she can only visit for 3 days at a time on her Lao visitor's card (pandan).

From what you have posted - you only want to take advantage of girls - be they from Laos or Thailand. You want easy girls - go to Pattaya. Some of us here in Udon do have some ethics - and morals - and based upon your original post - you seem to be lacking in both.

From you post - it appears that all you are interested in is finding the best looking piece of a$$ that you can find... Not good...

Tjenar Svensken; there is a lot of Lao chicks in Udon (without a passport) already, no need to do the hassle to bring in. Can remember see/meet any Lao girls in Pattaya, but what do I know? What so special about Lao girls?

Loaded, i'm assuming Doc said that because semisiam mentioned he loves thai girls. then he was thinking to have Lao girl staying with him. don't know if it's a typo but he then added "s" Lao girl to Lao girlS.

Welcome to the board semisiam!Who knows why doc jumped on you so fast,probably because he is doc!Most of us in the area don't like to encourage sex tourism in our area as it is more of a family area and the behavior of other falangs reflects on us.Therefore we encourage those people to go to the areas like Pattaya!Personally I feel that way towards drunken falangs or any other falang actingout in disrespectful manners while here!
We have no power to stop these behaviors ,but to mention our concerns and hoping they are heeded.I am sure there are some individuals and bar owners that don't agree with my statement,so just take it as my opinion!

Most of us like Thai girls,Lao girls or most any beautiful women!And there are more than a few Lao girls staying with visiting and locally based falangs in this area!

So many preaching and critising, oh well, what does one expect. The info given is correct at time of going to press, , 3 days, 30 days and the 60 day rules apply, with the extensions. However for them to stay long time in Thailand does need some work on behalf of the applicant.

Please can we stop the petty critising, it is so unhelpful. We all know the bad farangs and wish them speedy departure. But as Thai say jai dee, so we do not assist bad farangs, just hope they go quick.

As Pompui says just ask her.

It shouldn't be difficult. Tell her to go and speak to her "Poo Yai Bahn" - village boss. She would have to apply with her Tabian bahn (house registration paper). It would also cost a few kip as well.

From your original post I concluded that she is your girlfriend who you want to stay together with. IMHO I would recommend that you be sure you are serious about her, as there are additional complications living with Lao girls in Thailand, for example visas and whether she can read and write Thai language, that can make life more difficult.

Also, I don't know where you met her, but be aware Lao authorities have a very much stricter code of conduct than the Thais. They do not allow you to live or sleep with her in Laos, unless you are legally married. Should you do so and someone tells the police, you risk a period in the local prison along with a very hefty fine. If you do visit her there, then I would suggest you stay in a hotel, but definitely not in the family home.

I just wat to say totally agre whith the point beeing maid about bad farangs.
I have been traveling araound asia now for 2 1/2 years and mainly in Thailand. You could say that i have been thare, seen that and done that! But the purpos for my traveling have not been for to purching wimmen. Okey girls have came across my route but thats only natural! And the intention have not to give them monye, but ofcourse, you give. They have all been verry nice and take mee to places that i really never had done by myself! Its have so far a great time. And i think im not the only one to see the advanteges to have a local girl by your side. And i think it is moutual. She help me and i help her.

Now im here in Udon becuse my nee faild to take mee any futher. I have been i Malaysia for 5 mouths and had made plans to go thro Lao in to Vietnam down to Saigon into Cambodja and Pnom Phen and then go south take the boat and then cross the border in To Thailand.

I stayed in Viantiene with my bad nee and met a nice Lao girl. So im youst thinking laoud here on UdonMap.com. And ofcourse the information could bee had somewhere else. I youst thoght.....
