OK, meant to get back to this subject earlier, but I have to work.
Jet Man, yeah, you're somewhat, correctly, not correct on the amperes gig. I see where you are going, and what you mean. My mistake for not explaining a lot more.
The reason being, is today's BIOS software on main boards, are designed specifically for the end user to do what he or she wants, including cooling the CPU, by lowering the voltage, and even increasing voltage. This is called under clocking, VS., overclocking, the CPU.
One also has the choice to set the BIOS temp warning parameters to shut down if things get to heated, but the individual has to enter the BIOS and manually apply the settings to his/her desire. Other wise, nearly all BIOS settings are set at default. All computer users should know how to enter their BIOS.
The Bios tells the CPU what to do as well as all integrated/add on components. All Notebook/Laptops, PC's even Macs, have power supplies to juice the the CPU, Main board , and all attached peripherals.
The BIOS tells the Power Supply to add or deduct power, and it, self adjusts to what the end user tells the BIOS to do. Power supplies are smart products. Today's models, only give the power needed, because you get to tell it what to do via the BIOS.
The most significant problem with Notebooks/Laptops, is the beast itself.
All are poorly designed, and they are all too tiny to achieve optimal cooling capacity. At this point and time, there is simply not a whole lot end users can do to cool these machines. We only have simple tricks, and band-aids.
The market nowadays, wants to focus more on products towards home PC's, as usual, and Mobile type, PC capability phones, like the Blackberry, and the only outstanding product APPLE, ever came up with; is the I-PHONE.
Laptops/Notebooks are ok, but a dying breed. I purchased an I-PHONE, 16 gigs, unlocked, and can do everything on it, and more than I can do on my Laptop. Even without a large screen and keyboard, I still manage my companies more efficiently. I have added at least 16% more profit for myself, and employees, by not using a Laptop.
To be as short as possible, Laptops/Notebooks suck at the end of the day. Buy a a cool mobile phone that can do a lot more.
Hell, 99% of the worlds population can't fully make worthy use, of a computers capabilities, anyways.
This is only my opinion, and I am technology biased towards some products, but if I make a small purchase towards a product that makes me cash, and especially for the employees, towards a better life, then it is for sure a good deal, and at the end of the month, all my purchases are free.
I can manage purchase orders, wire transfers quickly, keep the factory running smooth, keep employees happy, ship 7-10 days ahead of schedule, and selling more products in volume.
