I know there is a new version of it out Morti (Limewire 5 - but I think they are already up to about version 5.1.2) so I don't know if that has anything to do with it...

IMHO I would not download anything from Limewire, full of nasties and embedded to so hard for your software to catch.

Interesting to read of access problems. Thought it was just me!

I’ve used Limewire for some time now to download music old and new. I’ve had problems in my aging computer from time to time, but I wouldn’t know if that’s down to ‘nasties’ in Limewire or not.

But yes, within the last week, I couldn’t access the program. No error message, just nothing opened. I use 4.8.1 version, rather than the latest 5..... whatever it is. However, I have now removed and re-installed Limewire (Java too, but not without getting error messages indicating elements of old program still running and needed closing) and things APPEAR to be ok again now. 8-[
