Welcome Trekker,

Beer Monkey has provided a comprehensive list to get on with.
If you ever visit Udon, the banks here have lists of homes, land, and commercial property for sale.

Click on the properties for sale link, another link allows to type in the property you are after.

Going to agents will cost you a premium.

When my wife and I wanted to buy land we just started telling family members. Within a week people were showing up on almost a daily basis to ask us to come look at some land for sale.

Some were trying to sell their own, but most were people hawking for others, as they would get a small commission if they arranged a sale. Much cheaper then the commercial agents.

Good luck.

Thanks for the heads up, my dauighter in law is thai, so l guess if she makes the initial enquiry we may be able to cut past the loading that ataches itself to transactions involving westerners.

Butch,

I have not met with preben yet. What l can say is his efficient responses to varying property enquiries has been most impressive and there has been no attempt to gloss a propewrty up. We will certainly be giving him an opportunity to source the property type we are looking for.

Butch USMC,
My wife and I met with Preben on our last trip to Udorn. He had a book in his office containing aditional photos of properties he'd listed on his web site plus additional ones he'd not had time to list yet. We selected a few we thought might be of interest and meet our requirements. Preben drove us around to view them and answer our questions. He seemed to be a wealth of information and we found him to be very helpful. No pressure. I failed however to discuss his fee.

There isn't usually a fee payable by the purchaser. The vendor pays the Agents's fees. :D

(The only time a purchaser might pay a fee, is if he specially commissioned an Agent to find a property on his behalf, usually in his absence.)
