im new here and will be visiting nk on the 25th to watch the naga fireballs fest.i have not book a place to stay yet.
looking for a cheap and simple place to stay for maybe 2 nights b4 heading to bkk.
looking at mutmee and also the meeting place.which wud u guys prefer?

I have booked into The Meeting Place for the same time and from what Martin (the owner) says, it is a busy time of the year so i wouldn't waste too much time if you want stay there.
Another place that has been recommended to me was the Huan Lai apartments so you might like to try them as well.
As for Big Snake, it is in Phon Phisai which is about 40km out of NK but a good place to see the fireballs apparently. Once again, it would probably pay to get in early to avoid dissapointment.

The Big Snake only has 4 rooms total!John the owner died this year and I understand it is for sale!It is not the busy season right now!Just the opposite!But it will be busy during the Naga Balls event!You can't go wrong with the Huan Li apts at 400 baht!

Full loaded with facilities nice quite and clean rooms.
(A very best coffee and tea in town)
