Does anyone know of a modest 1 or 2 bedroom house or apartment to rent actually IN either Udon or Nong Khai, where I can make a new base for myself and GF. The important aspect is that it needs to be within walking distance, or a very short bicycle ride of central facilities such as shops, restaurants etc., so out by the ring road would be no good.

I would be looking for at least an indoor kitchen, with sink, ideally western style, HW, (with or without furniture) the rest I could take as it comes. Would need to be clean and tidy and in a quiet location.

No it was the musty smelling wardrobes and cupboards.

I know of some great 2 bdrm places but 'walking distance' makes it very difficult. Wish you luck.

No, it's just to make life easier for the GF.

My plan would be to maintain two bases and split my time between them according to season etc.

I am looking for close proximity to the town centre, as GF doesn't drive or ride M/c, and I would probably leave them down here anyway.
