Someone to service air conditioners. Called today and they wanted 600 plus 350 if needing a coolant charge up. Sounds a bit steep to me.

Have a 13, 16,18 and 24000 btu units, wall mounted. They didn't ask which model, so i guess that does not include replacing any filters, which I have. I was hoping something like 2-300 baht, come clean it out, all the nooks and crannys I can't get to and check coolant level, which should be good.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Sounds about right, there is a shop just pass Big C on same side going into city. Never had to pay, for I rent, but think owner must have had a deal to clean our 3 units. So I would think that you should get a better price for the job of four units. Have someone come out and give you a price, then tell them what you are willing to pay.

hmm, Ree called so they didn't know a farang involved. i was going to schedule for one, then have the service person suggest a price for the other 3, thinking he would discount and not give to boss. yea i know, i'm tempting service person into deception and corruption.

curious what they do, they main concern is a lizard has just died in the one, and it will stink in a day or two, i can't see it. don't want to take it apart, as i may break something.

do they actually do more than just clean the filters and obvious area, then charge if necessary. they all operate fine and cold, and i maintain the filters. but this lizard has got to go.

They bring all their tools of destruction. Strip it down, put a cover on the inside of AC, cover anything near the unit. Then hose it down with water from the outside. I was impressed, and that takes some doing

Theres a small shop on the road opposite the electricity payment office (Srichomchuen Road) who deals with all manner of aricons. I bought mine from him and have no complaints. There is a huge fujitsu sign on the roof of his shop and usually a pickup parked outside advertising AEG products
