Nong Khai's 1st authentic Indian food restaurant is now open.

A good range of tempting Indian curry's and other dishes are available at very reasonable prices, along with some fine roti's and nan breads.

All items are prepared and cooked fresh every day on the premises. All ingredients used are certified Halal.

I haven't actually been there yet, but they included the following information with what they sent me:

Travelling from the main set of traffic lights where you enter Nong Khai, in front of the old city hall on Prajak Road, head East and continue for 'approximately' 1km and the restaurant is located on the right hand side of the road. There is a large banner hanging outside stating Indian/Thai food in English.

I will be getting some more photo's and a precise location when I go to visit them.

I Found the Indian place - about 100 odd yards past Thai Thai Restaurant, heading east. Had a very nice feed. Very reasonable price.

Yep, just been there myself, no photos yet though due to the nights drawing in though , not bad at all in my honest opinion. Good prices for sure, and the food itself was very tasty indeed.

Now this is what I call news, I never thought I would see the day Nong Khai saw something even slightly resembling an Indian Restaurant.

It's now on my list of places to visit the next time I get into town.

Or Turkish !! We love Kebabs,NOT that Fu*king Donner rubbish though !!!

Well tried Mariam Indian Restaurant,this evening,We had Chicken Biriyani,Chicken Kebabs,& Chicken Masala, with Nan Bread,I Can say we both enjoyed ALL the food served to us & would recommend this place.......But when I got the check bin I was to find it PAENG MAK, All of 200 Baht....Again Excellent Value.....Go give it a try......

It seriously looks like this is what was needed around here, I spoke with the owner again tonight and he's been doing some fantastic business.

Sean, The only thing about the place is that it could be made to look a LITTLE more appealing to "The Eye " But The Owner seems a friendly enough guy.......

I thought I would go for a look in there last night, it was absolutely superb.

The owner insisted on giving me small tit-bits to try (for free) so I sampled almost everything on his menu, and believe me it is pretty damn good!
