If you speak the language and know what you are looking for then you can find a couple in every Thai town. Things on the outside are not what they seem on the inside. Amazing Thailand. $\:D/$

Ah, well there you go, I don't think any of us speak Thai on this Forum which makes it velly difficult to converse with our wives sometimes (meaningful smiles go a long way, though).

I've cum across a few of those couples you're talking about back in Blighty. I think they're the ones that flash their car lights on and off at you in deserted car parks on cold winter nights. Sometimes it's very difficult to look inside because the car windows are steamed up.

Normally, I never speak English in Thailand, which leaves me the choice of trying to communicate in fairly good Thai or not so good French. Usually, my choice is Thai, and so far it seems to serve me well even though I am not fluent.

However, I must admit that when briefly attending a night market meeting my conversations with Saint, LA and Big Wave Dave were in English, but I spoke Thai and Lao with two of the wives.

I can read and write Thai too, and speak some Lao/Issan and Cantonese.

By "couple" I meant a "couple of massage places" not a "couple of people" :razz:

happy ending with mary palm & her five daughters minus 500 baht is no happy ending been there done that and I am no fool I avoid places like that and as for the massage I don't need some girl walking on my back because some idiot told her that how you do a massage but you all go spend your money foolishly
after all it your money Now I can say this there are a few good honest clean massage parlors which only give massages here in udon good luck with your search for that happy ending you should have no difficulty
in finding them

The new green M should perhaps be the Toonkon Hotel next to the Udon Hotel. The Udon Hotel has a bath massage place that is already located on the map with the green M.

The Toonkon Hotel has it's own separate massage place. Thai massage for 2 hours in 280 baht, oil 500 baht. There are a total of about 50 girls that work at the Tonkoon but perhaps only 30 will be present on a given day. Best time to go is 1800-1900 when a lot of the girls will just be beginning work. You can choose to either go upstairs (private room) in the massage place itself where generally only 500 baht happy endings of the hand variety are available.

If you would like a happier ending then it is necessary to rent a room in the Tonkoon hotel itself (just opposite). Most customers (mainly Thais) that frequent the massage place are guests staying at the hotel that take a girl up to their rooms for a "private massage" (or more likely they phone down to the mamasan and get one sent up).

It's not strictly a brothel as for all intents and purposes it is a normal massage place (and normal massages are available) but at the end of the day there is scope to choose the service your require.

Yesterday I went to that Spa near Lotus and had one of the best Thai massages ever. On their meny they have something called "Swedish" massage, my masseus spoke very litle english and could not explain what it was but it sounds a bit noughty to me.

When I came here, I experienced a longing to be submerged in water. The lovely Pet from Pet Motorbike Rentals on Prajak Rd, (Pet means Diamond) told me about the spa at the Chancerorie (next door to Robinson). For 200 bht, you can use the 5th floor pool, the hot and cold tubs and the sauna room. A great investment in the self I say.

To get there, turn left when you leave Robinson, go through the foyer to the elevators at the rear left and go up to the 5th floor. Keep to the right and you will see the doors. they supply the towels, so all you need is your swimwear, a bottle of water, and I think you can order up a meal to the pool too!

I don't know what there meaning is,but I grew up in the USA and a ''regular''muscle massage was always termed a Swedish massage.That is the kind I prefer over the Thai massage.Maybe that is what they call their oil massage.
I might want to check them out when I am in Udon!where,near Lotus is it?:D
