MOJO'S BAR AND RESTAURANT

PostAuthor: kpm217 » November 2, 2007, 7:06 pm

There may already be a topic on this establishment but I had a quick glance and could not spot one. Anyway I had visited this bar on various ocassions over the past couple of years when in Udon. I have always been the only customer but as I went primarily to watch the football on a Saturday or Sunday night it did not really bother me. However, I always thought it was sad that such a large bar should be so bereft of customers.

This time round I went in on Saturday night to find the place packed. They have three good quality pool tables, plenty of very attractive hostesses and a good vibe. There was a pool competition running which, having seen some of the guys playing, I decided not to enter. I noticed that there is a lady's only competition on Sunday nights but again from what I witnessed I would not be good enough for that either!

I went back on Wednesday evening and found the place even busier. I discovered on Wednesday nights Mojo's offer a free buffet. I managed to have a chat with the owner, Thorsten and found him to be very helpful and amiable.

Mojo's is a great bar with the music not too loud and the place alive with the buzz of conversation - just the way pubs used to be in England before the bean counters took over! I have to say it is one of the best bars I have been into in Thailand for friendliness and I met and chatted with several customers throughout both evenings I was there.

Thorsten has put a lot of thought and no small amount of work into getting the bar ging as it should be and his efforts are certainly proving worthwhile.

Thumbs up from me for Mojo's.

Look a little further down this Subject Heading and you will see pages and pages of posts about Mojo's - under the heading 'Horseshoe and Mojos closed?'

I suppose this one is better as it just relates to Mojo's and the other one related to it and the Horseshoe being closed. Plus it went off on a bit of a tangent about dental fixtures and fittings... :?

Went to Mojo's a couple of times in the month of May and agree with previous comments that it has a great, friendly atmosphere in there. Service good aswell.

Alsways had plenty of customers but not crowded.

Many people say: Its free and its good.
I dont know the place since they changed owner. Before I didnt like the place, so when I arrive in Udon soon again I will go there, if they still got a pool table. The shark is coming to town. hehe 8)

I visit Mojo's a couple times a month, but what I have noticed lately is some lonely old soul will compensate the waitress for playing pool with him and as a result the service lacks.

I don't blame the girls and I don't blame the lonely old souls looking for someone to talk to.

I'm just saying.....

Maybe more waitresses need to be on staff for lonely guys looking for company?

However the food is OK if you are into run-of-the-mill farang food. The place seems clean and the toilets are usually maintained.

I no longer frequent Mojos, because during a pool game, I did a slow backstroke, and a glass got knocked over. The unfriendly cashier YELLED OUT 50 baht, you break glass 50 baht.

I asked her why the staff did not clear the glass that was sitting there after someone had long finished their drink?

Her reply "50 baht" and so 50 baht was added to my bill. :fryingpan:

I now frequent day & night to play pool, there are more SEXIER girls there, and up the street is a very excellent thai restaurant, and a newly opened italian restaurant.
So, sexy girls, and very good cheap food in the day and night area from now on
