I'am Back, a bit late but ready to start internal fixing, next week

been shooping for prices this week, internal lining and general fixings ETC,

Home Mart V Global house, 2 days getting material list and price, I gone with basic materials, like kitchen, its the Looney Tunes hot plate burner for in side and the Webber bowl type cooker BBQ for the oven, gave the local Quickfire BBQ a look at 16,000 but herself liked the B2,000 Looney Tunes hot plate suites me fine as an old bushie, brought 2 modular SS sink and top for 6,000, photo will come later,

Prices for a western style kitchen cupboard ranged from 150,00 up, not suitable for my style of home and life style, so with some colourfull tiles and the looney Tunes cooker it will be a fun colourfull house, it will match the yellow roof and 2 tone coloubond blue fence.

Now the price for the internal fittings sheeting tiles kitchen electricial wire and board, and some sealer paint, still more to buy.

Global House 112,000 Home Mart 118,000 simular or same products,

I showed the global house price to home mart to beat or match sales assistance said global cheaper, manager on floor said no can do Global is bigger and more buying power, store manager said here girl you go with her and price, so i did and only on a few items were Home mart cheaper.

Will start on tuesday with the wiring installation, plumbing pipes and then the sheeting

3 x carpenters and 2 x laboures B1500 a day have allowed 3 weeks for the internal and yard works fence, hoping to get the patio up as well

From one Aussie to another, liked Udonthani as well. Since returning to Aus after a 4 week stint travelling the Northern areas, have had thoughts of returning and doing the same as you. (one day) Nice job, small but practical, similar to my place here..... just one question..... how about the shed?? (Just pulling your leg mate.)
One thing I am curious about is the electrical setup over there. I am an electrician and one thing I noticed while I was over there, was the lack of earthing or any sign of men system. By the way, live just up the road from you in Brissie ( Bundy)

Last trip it was the end of the wet seasons, rained every second day October, now those clouds are back again, it will be a push to get the gutters on, first day today big delivery from Global.

The ground is like sandstone, last year the soil sillty clay, is made up of fine particles less than 0.002 , with some larger particles up to 0.05, so it is about 70% clay, when wet is a slop hole to walk on, grass helps to stop the soggyness, when dry it sets hard and needs to be dug with a crow bar,

As the fence is going up , we got the first 10 of 25 holed dug, but just to hard to dig, a little rain tonight will soften up the ground.

3 water jars delivered today B900 2000lts each and 3 more next week, eventually will have about 40 of them enought to last 5 months during the dry seasons to water the garden, with 100mt2 roof every 1mm of rain is 100lt, average rain fall April to September is 1500mm, or 150,000 litres comming off the roof.

So 500mt2 of yard 16 weeks with out rain 40 jars =80,000lt thats 5,000lt a week to water the yard garden or 10lts per square mt per week, just enough to keep it green, so 50 jars would be better.
