Crokey, just like you to know it can work, but as someone said before it wont be easy.My wife has been with me back in Perth for the last 18months and if theres one thing you had better be prepared for its making all the decisions yourself. you will also find that you will be expected to support the family to the tune of 10,000bht per month because you have taken the little bread winner away from home. There are a lot of good girls to be found,I should know cause I found one, but it took me 8years and more than 20 visits to LOS so I guess I"d been screwed enough times to know what to look for. Anyway, Good luck but mate, slow down just a little.

Lots of sage wisdom and advise offered (although sometimes not too delicately) from those of us who've seen situations over the years. I've been married to a wonderful woman for well over thirty years and like some others on this forum can testify that mixed marriages can work. They just require a great deal more effort on the part of each partner. Don't be in too big of a hurry. If it's right, it will work out.

I found this on the FBI Realestate page quite some time ago. Perhaps it has something to offer here.
A letter from a Thai women.

Dear Farang.

tnx banpaeng,
i am beginning to feel that all this might not be as impossible as i first thought! there was a point there, whilest i was trying to find a course through a circuitious maze of incredible possibilities, with nearly all of them being a dead end, where i was ready to scream in desperation. well, im still firmly ensconced within the bloody maze, but ive had a good metaphorical sit-down, a nice warm cup of figurative tea and a good solid allegorical chocolate biscuit and i am trying to just take it all a little easier, because maybe, just maybe all these walls at the end of every cul-de-sac that i keep running into might be harder than the head im using to charge into them with!!
and somewhere, around one of these corners, as long as i can avoid retracing my steps ad infinitum, i will eventually, inevitably, inexorably find a solution at the end of it all(and maybe ill find the keys to my apartment that i lost on the way over to the internet cafe while i'm at it!)
. . . . . or thats the plan anyway!
