Well the old genious himself - Mr Tom Sharpe has decided to release another 'novel ' aparrantley out in september this year, how he does it at his age is beyond belief - but then again that's what he laughed about us Brits, he should have been knighted by now!!

Apparently it's to be called 'The Gropes' the hardback version is due out in September and the paperback in October.

Cheers for the info k.e. and chriss. Tom Sharpe (IMO) is right up there with PG Wodehouse and Ben Elton as the
UK's premier comedy writers. Years later I still larf out loud when I re-read his books. Dunno about a Knighthood but a seat in the House of Lords would not have gone amiss. Imagine the material he would of had for a novel.

Tom Sharpe in the house of lords - I'd pay his wages myself :D , I managed to get mel smith /griff rhys jones version of ' Wilt ' from the internet - although slightly different from the book - it's pure quality, thouroughly recommended with a few beers, even my Thai wife was laughing at it - mel smith's portrayal of Inspector Flint is superb
