NEW section of falang food in Makro

PostAuthor: ex-pat » March 15, 2009, 9:33 am

Yesterday my girlfriend and I was walking round Makro and I felt them "pregnancy style food cravings" for farang food. I have been away from Farangland for 3 month's so I was overwhelemed with delight When nearby shop assistant lead us to a NEW stocked section of food to cater for us farang , in fact they where just putting the last tins of peanut butter to a fine assorted selection it can be found towards the back of the shop left hand side (look for the american and european flags) .

MAYBE it is common but for me I have not seen it any where else.

the Ngee Soon near Nong Prajak has a new section catering to farangs also. I know Big C and Lotus has farang food also, usually stocked together.

For some strange reason Ngee Soon doe not carry the same selection of Western Foods at both of their stores. For example, a friend of mine said he found Jiffy Corn Bread Mix at the downtown store, when I looked for it at the store near the airport, they didn't have it. :? I hope the owners of Ngee Soon are reading this and will rectify it.

IMO, the Ngee Soon store near the airport is much more user friendly, IE: parking, nice wide isles, etc..

I concur with Morti's assessment. I was also there today and did not see the flags.

Hmmm, peanut butter? Hope it isn't from USA, seems there was just a bit of a problem here awhile back. Something about salmanela, sick people and the company knew it was bad.
