As somebody who will arriving in Udon before New Year, was wondering what cellebrations will be happening????

Will Soi farang / Nuttey park be the places to go or not?

Have never had new year in udon but would like to know if any party's are planned.

yes, fireworks, and possible music/bands. i watched from Arena bar/rest on wattana hosp side of lake. not into crowds. fireworks were nothing special, but ok, something different and festive atmosphere.
