I thought I would venture into Brendan's tonight to see what's new.

Treated myself to a cheese burger 'n' chips, it wasn't at all bad priced up at 95 baht.

Apparently Brendan has something new up his sleeve, something along the lines of a VIP bar just opposite him on the Rim Khong Road, does anyone have any more information on it?

You are correct, Brendan is apparently opening something a little 'unique' very close to his present location, from my understanding of it.

I don't know all the details just yet, but if he want's to share them, then it will be posted here very soon.

Is this near BBB's & and the NY Bistro?

Actually, this would have been a great name for T19, but there you go.

Also, I'm new here, but is the Bridge bar in the same area?

No it would not be near BBB's or New York Bistro, if it is close to his present establishment.

Brendan & Noi's current establishment is just west of the Tha Sadet market, (about 300m west) before you get to the ferry pier, and in the narrow Soi where there are some other bars. Map Ref: J2

I have just received confirmation that their new bar will be opening this coming Friday the 11th of September.

It sounds like the bar will be a first for Nong Khai, as it will be air conditioned!

Sounds great for those of us who may need to escape from the heat from time to time $\:D/$

I will be going along to the opening of their new bar tonight, from what I have heard they also now own an internet cafe as well.

Yes, I went to the new place last night, enjoyed some good food, a Leo beer or two and the AC.

I think I did a little later in the evening, below are a couple of pics I took of the grand opening of their new place, aptly named "The Ice Bar" and not The Caddy shack as was mentioned a few posts above.

As an overview, the new bar is a 'compact' cosy venue with air con, along with well priced beers & spirits
