Hi Hey You,

Sorry, I don't know what you mean by a 9 Month extension to a 1 year Non Im O Visa, I was on the understanding that the Max you could get on a yearly Visa was 15 months!

If you leave the country, the visa, if single entry, is finished, not knowing your circumstances, but if your wishing to get another Non Im O, you will have to get a 3 month non Im O from Vientiane, then if you qualify, apply for a yearly, at Nong Khai Immigration, during the last 30 days of your 3month visa, once again this will depend on your circumstances.

Hey you, yes, if you had a visa - 60 days, 3 months or 1 year, and you leave the country without first getting a re-entry permit, your visa will automatically finish. Upon returning you will be given a 30 day tourist stamp. :(

If you want to get a Non Imm O visa (again?) you will need to apply at a Thai consulate outside of Thailand, presenting all the relevant supporting documents.

Extensions on a Non Imm visa will be either 90 days or 1 year. Extensions on an already held 60 day tourist visa will usually be for 30 day (sometimes subject to evidence of a return flight date). There are no 9 month extensions, that I know of!

You should have checked these things BEFORE you exited the country!

Sounds to me like your visa was no longer valid after 11 Oct. Had you made visa run prior to the 11th, it's a possibility that you would have been granted 90 days. I believe that the visa you possess now was granted under the Tourist Visa Exemption (or what some mistakenly refer to as Visa on Arrival). I don't think you can do much about it now, except go to Laos and get tourist visa (single or double). Since you're not married I doubt very much that you can a Non "O".

There are still some flaws/inconsistencies in your story!!

As suggested above, it sounds like you re-entered after your visa had expired.

However, if you say you re-entered from Laos last weekend, the date then would have been approx 18/19th October, so had you been given what is commonly referred to as a 30 day stamp on arrival, that would not according to my calculations take you up to the 30th November, - more likely the 18th November!! :-k

Whatever date IS shown in your passport, that will be the date you will need to leave by!

Non imm o multi entry visa valid 1 year from date of issue from overseas consulate ie. UK get your stamp as late as possible before you travel to Los.
Arrive Los get 90 days on entry.
Expiry date on stamp do a border run another 90 days
" " " " " " " " another 90 days
" " " " " " " " another 90 day stamp
Do a border run before 1 year visa or entry stamp expires another 90 days
Expiry date on stamp do a border run they will give you 30 days on entry.
Expiry date on stamp do a border run they will give you 30 days more but you will have to go back to the UK on expiry & renew your Non imm o multi entry visa. This gives you 16.5 months on a 1 year visa & quite within Thai imm laws.If you diverse from this ie. go for a trip to Laos etc. make sure you do a border run the day before your visa runs out and not the entry stamp. your visa has expired while you were in Laos hence 30 days. The only way IMO you can stay now is do a border run when your entry stamp expires get 30 days more then go back UK & renew Non imm visa.
9 months never heard of that one
