Your backers only want to own 49% of the 100% they put the money up for??...or have you set them up with Thai wives so their investments are safer   cant see much security for the foreign invester through either sales or rentals there...Maybe big bucks for the builder though ;)

Its Not about Laughs or Entertainment its only my points of View i see When i am working with Thais, You should see Me in Action with the Shops. i Shout and tell them off Big Time.
They Sell Air condition at a low price for 16.999 Now 9.999 Special offer and for get to tell you about the 1.900 More for the parts.
I tell the Manager you are a robber. Lots and lots Rip Off. Selling Bedroom Suites and advertising Complete but they dont tell you in the advert about the Extras.
or Tot Who rob Customers Blind. Sell internet IP Star that wont Work. down every second day.
They Say i Must keep it one Year i Say No Way you steal my Money.
i will Go to The papers and tell Everyone in Thailand you steal my Money

Next day they Come Take Away The Dish and Give me ADSL free.

i can Shock you with What i get when i Fight in the Air port When my Baggage is 2 days late.

in Thailand you need to Tell them it Sucks when they Try to Screw you over.

look at everything and make sure you get Everything you Think is with The Sale.

Thailand is Starting to Get ok Now as i am learning Fast. and find now can sort Things Fast

So please tell Them What They are doing Wrong in the Shop Bank Airport But make sure you Let others See you are not Happy.

ok bye for now away to Work.

I am in awe of ntvillas2 breadth of information regarding construction experience and investment knowledge in Thailand, so I would like to know the cost of (local or USD prices please):

1. Cement (whatever size bag it comes in) or by the sq. metre ready mixed delivered (10K radius of mixing station)
2. Aggregates
3. Bar reinforcement 8, 10, 12, 16 mm diameter
4. Corrugated sheets and/or roofing tiles
5. Steel sections
6. Selection of flooring tiles by the metre
7. Electrical wiring, meters etc.

This should be no problem for ntvillas2, he'll show his knowledge lads.

Camouflaged in the emotive rhetoric and shocking grammar, NT actually makes some valid points. There is predisposition amongst Thais to take advantage of others, particularly if you are employer and show some softness in dealing with them. Most will skin you alive given the opportunity. When I first arrived here 14 years ago I was shocked at the double dealing and rip offs going on all around me within the company.
I suppose I grew to accept that this is pretty much par for the course in Thailand. If you are or intend to establish a business here, it pays to be aware of the fact that employee and or customer loyalty is not a notion that Thai
