They do make me laugh when I see what 'their' exchange rate is. The genuine one is around 50B to the Pound at the moment, so I guess it'll be about 62 at the embassy.

They are using 52 at the moment Marmite - they actually seem to be making an effort on the exchange rate front lately, being ripped off once (72 against 120) is bad enough without doing you again on the rate.

before going to your embassy get a few pounds from your local bank and pay them in pound instead of baht that what I do when the U.S. Embassy comes up to Udon I make sure I have enough USD to pay them in USD so I don't get ripped off by my own embassy sad isn't it

Phliew Waterfall reduces entrance fees during Songkran

Phliew Waterfall National Park in Chanthaburi province reduces its entrance fees by half for Thai and foreign visitors during the Songkran festival.

Chief of Phliew Waterfall National Park Sinthop Morirat today (April 15th) said that the waterfall was in the promotion period starting from February 15th to May 15th. The foreign adult fee is cut from 200 to 100 baht, foreign kids from 100 to 50 baht, Thai adults from 40 to 20 baht, and Thai kids from 20 to 10 baht.

The waterfall has water all year round and plenty of fish. Archaeological sites in the national park include Phra Nang Ruer Lom Pyramid and Ong Alongkhon Pagoda.
