I dont know who coined the name, but I think it is a weird name

I heard a Thai lady call the area soi 50/50 after the first bar there, and I liked that.

IMHO if they named it after the old "soi falang", the bars would of gotten more business, because everyone associates soi falang as the place to go and drink in UDON.


I hear people refer to day & night as soi falang all the time.

Only ever heard Day & Night called the cow shed or aircraft hanger. I think Nutty Park sounds like a lunatic asylum. Laughing Academy/Nutty Park.

When i hear the words Nutty Park...i think of Nutty Slack.(Peanut Brittle)

An Odd Choice Of Name.

Googling the name gives a 9 hole mini golf course in Patong,so someone wanted to describe 9 crazy style bars in one location or do I keep taking the pills

For some reason I don't rememember Nutty Slack as Peanut Brittle, I remember it as a type of coal.

Nutty slack, the butt of so many music hall jokes, was the residue left at the bottom of the pile of better quality coal, comprised of small bits of coal (the nuts) and dust (the slack), this was sold cheaply for household use.
