We had a Billy Bloater at work who had a Diabetes gyro topple. He said there was a high incidence of Diabetes in young, overweight men. He had to inject himself a number of times a day in the stomach and was restricted by the Diabetic nurse to drinking a maximum of 5 pints when he went out on the lash.

Lets chuck these filthy fat ba$$ds out on the street with the smokers ay, and make em pay for two seats on Aircraft. And while we're at it lets ban all Sugar and close down fast food outlets and allow children to point and laugh. Seriously, where in Gods name do they get these figures from, there are only 21 million people in Australia, and not everyone is over weight. The numbers just don't add up.

Avark, Oz is now in the top 3 countries of the world for young and adult obesity.

The figures from the Childrens hospitals with 120 Kg kids , is appalling.

Hospital presentations are 1 way of getting figures,

increases in drug administration, monitored by the PBS ,

I suppose the biggest ? is, what they define as obesity.

Jimmy Buffett
Tried to amend my carnivorous habits
Made it nearly seventy days
Losin' weight without speed, eatin' sunflower seeds
Drinkin' lots of carrot juice and soakin' up rays
But at night I'd have these wonderful dreams
Some kind of sensuous treat
Not zucchini, fettucini or bulgar wheat
But a big warm bun and a huge hunk of meat

Cheeseburger in paradise
Heaven on Earth with an onion slice
Not too particular, not too precise
I'm just a Cheeseburger in paradise

Heard about the old time sailor men
They eat the same thing again and again
Warm beer and bread they said could raise the dead
Well it reminds me of the menu at a Holiday Inn

But times change, sailors these days
When I'm in port I get what I need
Not just Havanas or bananas or daiquiris
But that American creation on which I feed

Cheeseburger in Paradise
Medium rare with mustard be nice
Heaven on Earth with an onion slice
I'm just a Cheeseburger in Paradise

I like mine with lettuce and tomato
Heinz 57 and French fried potatoes
Big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer*
Well good God almighty which way do I steer for my

Cheeseburger in Paradise
Makin' the best of every virtue and vice
Worth every damn bit of sacrifice to get a
Cheeseburger in Paradise
I need a Cheeseburger in Paradise
I'm just a Cheeseburger in Paradise

I like mine with lettuce and tomato
Heinz 57 and French fried potatoes
Big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer*
Well good God almighty which way do I steer

*Actually, I'd prefer mine with an extra thick chocolate milk shake =P~ .

There's a PDF report on this BBC page from last October stating that obesity in the UK is the highest in the EU (and I always thought the Germans had a higher incidence of Billy Bloaters). Obviously, that adds to the financial burden on the National Health in terms of treating the spin off conditions such as diabetes.

Maybe the Chancellor should tax lardy food like he taxes cigarettes. That might offset the financial penalties on the State. :D

McDonald's was my first stop for breakfast, and if I didn't want to cook after work, I get my Big Mack, super sized, with any extra Big Mack. And I do miss that, had two big breakfasts at McDonald's when I was in Bangkok recently. As soon as we checked into the hotel, I was at McDonald's for my Big Mack attack. Love my McDonald's.

The breakfast menu at McDonald's is a guilty pleasure but seriously,
When I was a kid the beef on their burgers, to my memory was really
GOOD. Now? wtf are they putting in there? Is it just my taste buds that
have cra_ped-out? Unless it's hot off the grill (which is almost never)
I can barely stomach it down anymore? Has the quality of the beef been
kind of degraded over the decades? And I want my fries with my meal?
not 10 minutes later? They are not appetizer & entree, they are to be
eaten together? They only have 3 friggin fryers back there why are we
always running out of fries? PPhheeww! pant, pant, okay rant over.
