Permananet Residence

This is where I'm stopped:

Dear Mr Fisher

In order to qualify for a permanent residence permit, you must be able to show the following:

1. Three consecutive 1 year visa extensions in your passport.

2. Hold a valid work permit for three years up to the date of submission

3. Earn a minimum monthly salary of 30,000 baht (applicable only if you have been married for 5 years or more).

4. Show at least three years tax receipts based on the above income.

Yours sincerely

Of course - you have to be working here to get permanent residence in Thailand.

It can't be done any other way.

That does seem to be the case, but nothing wrong with research. Sure saved me a lot of frustration down line to only be told this after I had applied for the porcess. I can do all but this.

Actually earn more the required monies, but not earned here nor is it taxable.

Oh well rules are rules I'm willing to accpet that, with only wishing for resident status. The only way I can see to avoid the whims of immigration.

Of course there is a option get the work permit and follow through for three years.

Just haven't found the right job yet, you know one with a hour and half day one hour lunch and two fifteen minutes breaks. Must be out there somewhere

I knew I had failed. Will try to work on on less demanding. Would you consider one of ten minutes or less of work. or one that the work includes riding a motercycle for at least the 10 minutes of work. :D
