is there any insurance company in thailand that offers this insurance?
i ask this question because we have a son , who playing with his friends
pushed by accident his friend. he fell with his head on the concrete floor.
now in hospital with head/skull problem. parents say we are responsible
and will have to pay.

anybody have had identical experience?
anybody knows what thai law says about this?

most obliged for your comments

Would an insurance company get involved 'after' you take out a policy 'after' the accident...?

not child related but.....just an example.:
One of our dogs nipped a neighbours child....we 'had' to pay for medicine and to see a Doc.(law of the village and elsewhere) you damage you pay....plus the family didn't have any money.
Those dogs where our responsibility, not on a lead and the gates where open, actually happened twice and dogs have been dealt with over these such things...but could you be held responsible for children messing about "boys will be boys"....??
What sort of money they asking for...just for treatment or compensation..and was you present...?

Um, sort of Thrid party insurance, normally is combined with House insurance but as that is like rocking horse droppings here, then we would have to as the likes of AIG, AIA or even other agencies, if anyone has the answer, it is a mute point, we donot realise how quick Thais are to claim, against someone they poercieve to have lots of money, also in this case I would say no, as obviously children do play and accidents do happen, the question i would consider is.
If your child was in the same predicament, would they have enough money to pay.
I am not saying be stingy, but commonsense ( which Thais lack) should prevail. if the accident happens insoide your boundarys then maybe, if outside thats life.

I may be wrong here (it wouldn't be the first time :? :? ), but it is my understanding that when a Thai goes to a public doctor, clinic or hospital within their province, the total medical cost to the patient is 30 THB.
