I doubt if it is coming through the website polehawk.

There are a couple of things you can do though, the info for the isp is in that jargon I sent you (i think) and you can report them, you can also block them through your firewall settings.

Almost forgot to mention, remember that the person/computer that tried to connect to your pc, may also be totally innocent, and may just be an unlucky one that has been infected with something nasty

Well, maybe I should give the benefit of the doubt here. Maybe the person who tried to CONNECT with MY pc didn't know his/her pc was infected and it was attempted in a completely innocent manner. I will report it to the isp so the infected pc'er can get some badly needed treatment and hope for the best. In fact, I will use my entire Korean vocabulary on them (On-yan-hashi-mohka and cumsuh-hum-dee-duh).

Looks like my Norton security system took care of blocking the diseased pc so I think I'm OK there. Plus I could use LA's suggestion from the old forum just to be on the safe side (think he recommended using a condom?).

Thanks, Sean
Brilliant work in tracing the IP address and some good advice, too.

Thanks for all the help.
BB, my AVG and Nortons update automatically and I check for updates on Spybot and Adaware whenever I boot up.

Never had any problems myself, but it sounds as though a couple of the guys on here have had similar problems.

Is the Yahoo address you are having problems with the same address that you registered with this site?

As for sounding Thai, apparently something like 80% of all viri and trojans do originate in asia and russia, so it does'nt surprise me.

Our webmaster has contacted our hosting company to do a check on this website and it appears that there are no errors, bugs ect on the system.

We're a little confused why some people have experienced problems while others have no problem at all. If there were a problem on our server then it would effect everyone's computer including mine and the webmasters.

I only have Mcafee virus scan installed but have never picked up a bug from our website. If there were any bugs then the virus software would pick it up each time I visit udonmap.com and notify me of the source.

Anyway we won't ignore peoples computer problems and maybe the webmaster can look into it in more detail.

No problem here and a usually visit this site on its own with AVG resident shield on.

Maybe if guys are viewing other sites simultaneously then they might think it stems from here.I believe the vast majority of bugs come from porn or hack or download sites.

Admin,
Thanks for following up and verifying that there are no bugs or virii on this forum. I also sent an email to the server webmaster in Korea but received no response which was what I expected anyway.

businessman,
FYI : the attempted attack on my PC was effectively blocked by my Norton system that I always keep turned on. When I received the alert notice from Norton this site was the only site that I was viewing. Also, I don't visit porn sites at all or indiscriminately download anything unless I'm sure that it's from a trusted source.

Anyway, I just wanted to bring the matter to the attention of other members in case they should experience a similar situation. Thanks to BangkokButcher in tracing this attempt to a specific IP address in Korea. I'm putting this one to rest. =D>
