irish clock, nobi's, tj's, up2u, night market, green leaf, maeya............not in any special order, but also the only places we go. oops, saengkhao couple times, and new place in DN, Gspot was attentive, though not my venue so doubt if return visit.

harry's and the other german place were attentive, but don't get there anymore, taco place is missed, enjoyed the food and Tu's company.

stopped going to steve's bar way back, because staff not attentive, hope that changed, good food and nice guy. 8)

Hi Mighty C.

Welcome to the board...lets see here, nearly 9 days now in Udon Thani?? opps....sorry, 9 days on the board.

I am really curious and surprised after 9 days you have managed to evaluate the staff at Mojo's. And then feel it necessary to share your negative opinion on some bird working there.

Tell me Mighty C, was there anything you liked about Mojo's or Steves? Any other places you have visited in the last 9 days that you liked enough to share with others on this board?

I hope you (in the last 9 days) just didn't get your feelings hurt my some service bird to the degree of actually creating a new posting name to slam her.

Remember gentlemen, the girls all over Thailand are wonderful, not just the ones who work at Mojo's or Steve's.

I am sorry if I take this post the wrong way....It is just something just ain't quite right here.

But anyway Mighty C, welcome to the forum.

 I didn't find BCs remark about a staff person as a negative post or a slam on Mojos or the staff as I think it was done in good taste
and his experience!

I get suspicious when people use the names of the girls! But a general awareness of the surroundings is always a positive position to be in!

I think we can all make up our own minds about the staff! :D

ISSAN_NISSAN. Having a bad day?

I don't have the good fortune to live in LOS yet, but I still think I have a right to an opinion. I don't live there but I eat at different establishments all the time. I wish that I could eat at all these places more often so I could experience more good and bad staff members.

Being a forum member for a few days does not mean he has lived there for that amount of time. It doesn't mean he has no right to an opinion either.

IMO, there are too many Grumpy Old Men in this world. Chill out. You are living in god's country. Enjoy it. We all have a right to an opinion.

I really didn't ask you what your opinion of my lastst post was Bkk. But thanks for sharing.

My problem with this poster is at 8:57 AM today he says and I quote:

"for me mojo's and steve' bar very good service and waitress always polite and friendly"

and then 3 hours later he shares his opinion about some bird at Mojo's he doesn't like.

You can't have it both ways.

A man has to take a stand what he believes in. To make two posts that are opposite each other just hits me the wrong way.

A man must always believe what he says.

Sorry for the rant.....

Have a nice day everyone

Got to agree with Stan there, I also can't see how Mighty C's post was in any way derogatory.

And what if I may ask, is not quite right?

Quote ISSAN _NISSAN

"I am sorry if I take this post the wrong way....It is just something just ain't quite right here."

As I read Might C's postings, his second was a "by the way" type of observation.

Well, personally I don't think I have received bad service in ANY bar (except perhaps the Old Mr. Tongs) in Udon. I have noticed in some places the service might get a little less attentive when you become a "regular", but I guess that is the girls just knowing that you have a long time TG/TW :D :D but even at that it is better service than "back home"...

As for you nissan man i am new to this forum but been coming to and from udon for 8 years my dear watson . I also did not mention any names or faces just a general observation of how i felt on my night out in udon and my opinion is based on 8 years of lots of travel in and out the kindom of thailand now im able to stay here full time i guess i am entitled to some form of judgement with out getting to personal.

Well for what it's worth, on this last trip I found most bars give good service, but the one that stands out for me is Bar Code, very friendly staff, one that speaks English so good and with an American accent that I thought she had been raised in the US, but she said it's just how she was tought, the boss (owner ? ) was a girl called Joy, she spoke excellent English and was also very friendly - and by friendly I don't mean trying to get picked up, just good old fassioned friendly.
Mr. Tongs though has in my opinion gone down hill, in the past I've always defended Mr. Tongs in the many posts that were knocking the place, but although I still have a couple of Thai mates who work there, I think the new place has just not got the atmosphere that the old place had, and Tong himself seems to have got a new degree of arrogance that didn't sit well with me. I won't be spending my bahts in there anymore, if there's one thing UT has got it's choice, and plenty of it.

I've never had bad service at any bar in Udon. Not even in this Forum's butt of discontent, Mr Tong [no pun intended ;)]
But with its very friendly (and cute!) staff, low prices, good food, and live music, the newly opened 'Harmony' bar in Soi Adunyadet is (still) a notch above the rest.
It will definitely become my favorite haunt!
