Yes sounds like a fellow countryman....its very common to see some elderly men and women dolled up,they do get set in their ways, you can't change them, always up at the crack of dawn...same same routine day in day out my old Nan got housebound near the end...but used to love gossiping and moaning about everyone outside that passed by, kids, people walking dogs, etc...but her bedroom window was 50 feet away from the road and she had 20 foot conifers blocking the view...she couldn't see a damm thing, but still loved to moan....set in her ways is what i am saying, full monty..?? polished shoes i hope...my grandad always had highly polished footwear,a shirt and most times a tie...neat ironed trousers and matching suit jacket..always grey i seem to recall, you can't change them, its in he upbringing when they come from that far back in time.

Thanks.

Your right, BM. Nothing wrong in turning out immaculate, people attach a lot of unspoken importance to it.

If a fellow countryman you should go and have a chat with the old boy, he could be a lonely soul deep down...you just need to reach out to him..he could be living on his own with no one to talk to and could be missing his homeland..can't be nice sitting kon-diow in a busy setting like the market, or he could of course just like his own company and be happy as a pig in sh** with his thoughts of days gone by....worth a go though saint.

american hockey

YO......what up with that.    the stands and fans are usually safe, it's only the players that have a tendency to beat on each other, and unless a nice head shot, fairly hard to get hurt.

the puck is much more dangerous. 8)

Pray tell, what is American hockey?

Has it any relation to Canadian, Swedish, Finnish, Russian, and Czech hockey?

Might it be called ice-hockey?

Detroit looks set to win Lord Stanley's mug again this year.

Flyers did seem to do much better when there was more violence on the ice.......them Broad Street Bullies had a pretty good streak going. though personally, i can't stand it when fights break out, play the game, not the ratings.

on topic, add alcohol to any A-hole with a violent tendency from any country, and you get same thing. one can only hope the meet their twin some day, one gets killed, the other life in jail........sometimes there is justice.

Most certainly not one of your better ideas BM.
I can often be observed sitting on my own. Generally its because my son is in the games shop and my wife is running round the market spending her hard earned. I quite like it like that. Its the only chance I get to chat up the beer girls.
So please Saint. Don't listen to him.
