when you can no longer afford tuition, they find your nude body in hotel, or on pavement below your balcony. class over, luckily the drop out rate isn't that high. 8)

Hi all,

I thought l would share a story with you that probably gave my son a quick insight into thai culture and the respect for the mighty baht. My son, his fiance and l were picked up from a regional airport after flying all night from the land of Oz and then a connecting flight to Nakon Phanom. After landing at the airport and being welcomed by numerous family and extended family members we were ushered from the airport arrival lounge to the waiting community utility. We drove for approximately 15 minutes and then stopped at a wayside market for purchases for the upcoming thai marriage service.

As we were about to take off in the utility a smell permeated the air and one of the fiance's aunties who could speak good english asked the 12 - 15 occupants in the back who was the one that opened their lunch box (farted). Well to see all these people suddenly find the capacity to find an object away from the utility to fix their focus on without making eye contact with anyone else was quite impressive.

As there was no response the aunty pulled out a 100 baht note and asked the same question. Suddenly all fifteen hands shot up in the air in unison. From that moment on it quickly defined an approach my son needed to take in relation to managing his future financial interaction with the family and extended family. They are both back in Australia and after meeting their own family committment and the wife is working and earning wages to contribute to the family in Australia she is at liberty to send money to her family back in Thailand. This structure is working well for now.

I don't know whether this series of events means he should ready himself for enrolment at WBU as his now wife tightens the obligation requirements.

Regards,

yes, they all seem to 'drop out', fall out, push out, thrown out or WBU while on spring break, as they call it back in the states. with numerous infamous and some not so anymore for spring break embarrassing moments to haunt one's life for eternity. used to be ft lauderdale, but family friendly now, padre island of texas i think and gold coast fo florida gets it share. if from northeast, poor and ignorant, you choice was the jersey shore, yikes, sad.

hopefully no more drop outs from WBU. noticed the other thread, don't seem to fall in the drop out catagory, pick one of the otheres. i always do myself in after the first night of fun, and the other, while, can jump without nice coating of sunscreen, who knows how long you may sit in sun before meat wagon comes. 8)

The test is easy IF you pay attention:

If the "TUTOR" asks for your computers password.

If the she tries to see your PIN number whenever you use your ATM card.

If the she is constantly on her cell phone.

If her English is sometimes excellent, but not so good when you ask questions.

If she always returns gifts you buy her to get the CASH...

these are only a few sample questions. Now get out there and get your degree!

not my graphics, but for personal use, feel free. the designer has marketing in his future, so just for personal use shouldn't be a problem, as i have done the same, shirt and couple other things for my own personal use in mind.

Dear fellow graduates of WBU,

Just in case any of you are in fear that membership in our glorious institution is in danger let me allay your fears.

On my recent visit to our Udon campus my assistant informed me that all is well and studying is progressing and more to the point money is pouring in from all over the globe to our wonderful tutors enabling various reconstruction to some run down dwellings in the region and also some are clearing various debts.

Monday: I chatted to a lovely young tutor, oh how we laughed as she beat me at pool for 20 Baht per game… (Can I get a refund, as this was official university business?) She told me her student had returned to Fahlangistan but took good care of her and I believe he sends her 10,000 Baht per month in cash plus pays for her 6,000 Baht per month apartment. I was hoping she was not too lonely without him but my assistant informed not to worry as when Tee-luk is back in Fahlangistan a kindly Thai man keeps his side of the bed warm. For the newer students, the Thai term for this is Gik… Maybe we know it as bit on the side.

Wednesday: It seems 10,000 Baht per month is the current rate for lessons. Another tutor I know has a boyfriend in Fahlangistan. She works as a waitress In a nice little restaurant. He also sends 10,000 Baht per month and if or WHEN she wants more if a crisis occurs (a night out in Yellow Bird) then he sends it immediately… He plans to marry his g/f this year. This girl is really quiet and shy and I was even more worried at the possibility of her being lonely in his absence however I was assured she also has various men to keep her company. (It’s always the quiet ones!)

Friday: Finally the tutor I believe to be number 1 in Udon and would give any Patpong chrome pole molester a run for her money continues to astound me with her earnings. This tutor is married but her dear husband is back in Fahlangistan so in order to make ends meet she came out of retirement as a hostess I mean tutor (short lived) and is juggling 3 other fahlangs that will cum to study at various times later in the year and also she conducts daily short time courses.

Yes it seems there is no end to the kindness that is bestowed on our tutors from their students. However my assistant informed me that the words kindness or jai dii were not mentioned but 3 little words kept recurring from my assistant as translated from the tutors… Stoopid too mutt!

Here’s to a successful year at the Water Buffalo University,

Regards,

Mr. I.A. (B.A. Hons. WBU.)

This is a new age with the internet. I have a lot of respect for guys who met
their girl the old-fashioned way (in real life). It's difficult not to get wary of
some of the femmes who have better computing skills and have learned 3
foreign languages in their quest to meet their considerable sales goals.

Personallly, I don't even want a girl who speaks English anymore, once they
start that playing on the computer it's like a drug they just can't quit. And if
they haven't learned "sailor English" then they've picked up that annoying
"chat talk" which is almost as bad. Maybe easier just being a monk.
