True driving is an adventure here. In my short stint in Kuwait I was told that driving was the most dangerous thing that you would be exposed to. I'm a believer same things you see here but at a 190.

To borrow a UK saying "I'm frezzing my bloody arse off here" :x Tonight the temp. will drop down to about 43 degrees f  One good thing is I could go to the drag strip and probably take 2 or 3 ten's off my 1/4 time in my VW Bug (MANG) but I dont care....OMG did I say that  OK thats it no more scotch tonight

Yes I do and thank you Paul. Looks like it may be warming back up a little so I think I may fire up the Bug and hunt down some kid in his Honda and show him what a 40+ year old car and man can do

Just heard from my step brother he wants to run his Super Bee against my Bug. I'll let y'all know how it turn out if it happens

Not been here for long but for sure thai s can not drive ,park etc, in fact anything to do with cars I tend to find them very suspect . This is due to girlfriend and family ho drive every drive and are without doubt a danger to humanity , they go round corners freee wheeeling and wonder why car drifts into road, when car will just not fit into parking gap the reason is way beyond them , what keeps them somewhat safe I think is the fact that they drive so slowly as its hard to have an accident . But they are excellant at one thing and that is telling you how you should drive. !!!!!!! My girlfirends car is eight years old , and like new, never driven over 40 mph , cleaned once a week , serviced twice a year and only does 80 miles a week . Nope not trying to sell it , just trying to convince girlfirend she dont need a new one . She does of course think I am a mad and lunitic driver despite fact that I have advanced motor test and have raced cars for years as a semi pro . are well it keeps me crying ?????????????/

I am not to sure whether this is a "rant" or amusing.

How many expatriates have you seen go "ass over tit" on the wet slippery pavement where the flower vendors ply their trade. (on the corner down from the plaza by the traffic lights )

I notice the "old hands" walk in the road.

You dont have to be an expatriate to go "ass over tit" on that stretch of pavement - I have seen Thais and Farangs alike suffer the same fate.

I have slipped there - but never kissed the ground yet

Pushing cars away in neutral

PostAuthor: marcimpala » January 19, 2006, 1:56 pm

Allow me to add my favorite...not really a gripe but just a jaw dropper and extremely hilarious. How about the practice of leaving cars in neutral at the main shopping mall when the lot is full. Then, if someone has parked in front of your car, you simply push them left or right so you can back out. What is most hilarious is seeing families or older ladies with their backs up to a pick-up pushing it away and, of course, having it crash into another car. Toooo funny (unless your car is being crashed). Thank God for push bars and steel bumpers!!!

Sorry all I just need to blow off some steam. Looks like it going to get cold here again and to make things worst seems the jets on the dual carbs on the Bug are clogged AGAIN :x #-o ](*,) I just cleaned them out just last week and here we go again. I guess it's time to just pull them off and rebuild them but I have to wait for it to warm up :? So in the mean time I'll just crack open a Tiger beer read read the posts.
