Or have a look at the accommodation list here: http://www.udonmap.com/udonthani_accommodation

Thank You Lee, Those are definately what i needed to see, I don't need to much, and since i am coming to get formally engaged then i need to save a few Baht.
...
Also doeas anyone know the name of that Big park, there is a main road that goes around most of it, and it has a lake/ fish pond with a stone bridge over it.
I am wondering the name of the park, and the main road that goes around it to help me find the best location to stay.

Thanks again

After 2 weeks at The Irish Clock, I swapped hotels for the last 10 nights to The President Hotel. (mainly due to it having a swimming pool)

The room cost me 850 baht per night and came with free breakfast though I never got up in time for that.

The rooms are clean and the hotel quiet, staff friendly and room service and cleaning very good. The swimming pool very clean and me and the TG had the pool to ourselves often enough.

The food at the hotel is mainly Thai with only a limited amount of farang steaks. They had cheeseburger on the menu but after 3 days of asking for one and them not having any I gave up though did finally get one on the last day and it was the best cheeseburger I'd tasted in Udon Thani.:D

There are 2 Samelaws outside the hotel and they are needed as it is a fair old drive into the centre. The hotel is also near the airport so was handy on my last day.

I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
