Hello. I've been reading and enjoying the board. A friend and I will be traveling to Nong Khai in early March. Looking for a mid-range price to spend on a hotel room that has either wireless or internet lan connection in the rooms as well as room safe. Location to resturants and nightlife would be nice. Any recommendations?

Hi Paul, there is plenty of accommodation around Nong Khai with budgets to suit all prices, but the only hotels that I am aware of that have a safe in the room are the Nong Khai Grand and Mekong Royal, both have internet available and further information and online booking is available on our accommodation listing page:

Unfortunately neither are very well located for the nightlife area of town, both have plenty of restaurants surrounding them, but transport will not be an issue from either hotel into town.

There are plenty of other smaller hotels and guesthouses all over the town, but like I mentioned, I don't think any others have safes in the room.
