retirment visa info

PostAuthor: flower child » January 30, 2006, 10:45 am

Dear all,

My sister just obtained Type o-A retirement visa .
We just would like to know where does she have to go for 90 days reporting and what kind of document she needs to bring.
Also any information regaring office hour and exact location would be ver much appreciated.
She doesn't drive at this moment so public transporation info would be very helpful.

Thank you very much,

Best regards and happy lunar new year for all the members!!!!

any immigration office, here in udon, nong khai immigration is closest. don't need anything, just show up and fill in blanks of form, takes all of 5 mins. besides waiting in line. went there last week, took 30 mins, as no one was at desk until 8:45, suppose to open at 8:30 per sign on door, i was #3 to be served. supposed to be able to do at police stations, but not in udon, go figure.

don't forget your passport, lol.

May not have to go to Nong Khai starting March 1, 2006. Flyers are being passed out at the AEK Udon International Hospital of the reopening of Nong Khai Immigration Extension Service Section (Udonthani Branch). It will be on the ground floor of AEK UIH with office hours of 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Mondays and Fridays.

Here is a link to a site that explains a lot about the visas you can get in Thailand. I like this site as it explains stuff in english I understand. A word of caution: This is not a govt site so take advise and then check it out.
