A Robbery took place at the Taco Place Restaurant in Udon Thani on 6th August 2007. It was reported that 3 men entered the restaurant and pointed a gun at the owner Miss Prem Jampaeng (32) and took her bag. She said the bag contained many personal items including $200 in cash, 2 mobile phones, 1,000 baht cash, visa cards and personal papers.

Did the restaurant's closed circuit camera catch the event? Believe the restaurant is now required to have such a system. Wasn't there a recent national directive to install these CCTV systems?

Perhaps that's a lesson to anyone in Udon with a similar business, to think about installing CCTV.
