RUN - Yes but where to & With or W/O my child

Long distance relationships, mixed relationships etc...

Maybe I'm missing the point, but what makes you think you'll be able to take the child?
Judging from what you said about your wife ('She wants another child, but I don't touch her anymore.'), she will never relinquish the child and I can't see the Authorities awarding the child to you.

I have a solution for you. Walk up to the nearest police officer repeatedly kick him in the nads while screaming "you heathen piece of crap" in Thai. He will cure all your pathetic ills for you.

There must have been something about the wife to start with.

Or was it just that she was a virgin. I wold find that hard to believe!

Grow the F**K up, give up the booze. Talk with the wife. Look after the daughter.

It is easier than you think to wash the S**t out ya pants. You just need to take a good look at it (or yourself) and scrub with a hard brush. If it doesnt move 1 day soak it in water (Not Beer), wake up in the morning and do it again. And you keep going to it is shiny and clean.

And by only drinking water you pants should not get full of crap again.

See easy!!!! :D

Having just read the original post on this thread, it is filled with sadness, stupidity and selfishness. The issue of doing the right thing by the child has been well covered by other posters. It appears that the options facing Philo as canvassed by him are scenarios dressed up as a form of retreat without any personal dignity. I do not understand the personal pain that he is in regarding alcoholism, but l can say that as a correctional officer within the prison system in Australia we are faced on a daily basis prisoners who are detoxing and it is only a few short weeks before they start to come out of the physical depedancy and then start the process of addressing the emotional dependancy of alcohol.
No matter what outside intervention and support is available, the process has to be driven from within and l guess the question remains, has Philo got the self pride to drive his resurgence, if not it would be best to distance himself from his daughter as any respect she has will quickly diminish as she becomes more aware of the disease that consumes his being.

Well put trek!Few alcoholics have the ability to get out from under denial and recognize that they have a disease.A disease that absolutely rules out good parenting or partnership skills! The child is better off w/o an alcoholic parent!

I have worked in detoxing units with thousands of alcoholics!
