Stayed at the Ruy Suk Mansion a couple of times now, first time ok so stayed again a few weeks later,What a mistake that was!, I had my new Yamaha Mio delivered there so i could use to go into town, went out into town one night and came back late no problems, 2 nights later went to use motorbike and some clever person had smashed the right mirror off and smashed the speedo cover! found out from one of the staff that does the food there,he saw the damage the morning after i went out. Now my motorbike was parked 5 metres in front of reception with 2 guys working there at night all night ,they did not see anything!!! The owner did nothing only asked them if they saw anything,i said to him if they did not see anything where were they??? with people like that in charge its not safe to stay there, will never go back again !! and the breakfast is no good!!!

well, playing ruysuk advocate, , if i was working there, and the place was full, as it often is, unless someone loses a key or orders food, no much to do, except sleep, since it isn't a hotel with amenities to offer. if the motorbike is going to sit there all night, obviously the staff will be sleeping at some time, especially after everyone is checked in, hence the sleepers behind the front desk. really don't know what you expect for 300 baht, maybe valet parking or a personal gargae. stay there many times and feel very safe. 8)

Sleep? the damage done to my motorbike could be heard a long way off ,if they were asleep they would be woke up,remember i said my motorbike was parked 5 metres away from reception not 500? The damage was caused by 2 maybe 3 blows from a piece of wood or heavy object, not just breaking the mirror off but breaking the aluminium screw thread of the handlebar as well, plus smashing the speedo cover.! This i do not expect, and no one else would, and to suggest i expect a full valet and personal garage is taking the PISS! P.S. What is a personal gargae??? Stay there at your own risk!!!!!

Sadly this type of malicious damage can happen anywhere in the world.
And I have had a pick up 'keyed' well in the car park of the Grand overnight so the price you pay won't help you... :(
Agree with LA on the sleep thing. Have had to open the gate to the Top Mansion car park myself on many occasions when returning late at night....

well that adds a twist to it, was under the impression it just got hit or knocked over. seems that someone had a personal issue to vent. being that, since you will be long gone, and the 2 by 4's will still be around, i don't think i would of offered much information either, especially when no protection would be provided if one did do the right thing and point the police in right direction. very sad indeed, welcome to thailand, hope you have better luck in future.

Roughly the same as Top, but with a less convenient location. More likely to have a room on any given day, but also full fairly often.

I can only recommend this small and cosy hotel it is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Furthermore it is within walking distance from several bars, if you want to, but you can also take the tuk-tuk just outside the hotel and go downtown.
As to get a room, it was very easy, I just filled out the form on the web page, and I got answer return same day, despite we are talking about a considerable time difference (6 hour). No problems with water nor heater, AC ok, fridge ok too. The girls in the staff should be able to speak better English, allthough I can speak Thai so it was not a problem for me.
The breakfast meny is limited, but 7eleven is very close, so you can buy your own bread and youghurt if needed
I can only recommend this hotel :D

Update:

Ruysuk have recently opened a Gymnasium fitness room at the front their new building next door to their existing building. They have 46 more rooms at a rate of 340 per day, monthly 7500+.

Well that's certainly convenient. Have to go check that out. Sometimes
I get the urge to exercise but you really half to be pumped to travel
half-way across town. I'm guessing current vacancies at Ruay-sook. \:D/
