Sad News - Harry

PostAuthor: BobHelm » October 1, 2008, 2:47 pm

For anyone that does not know I have to report the sad news of Harry's death, the oldest Falang inhabitant of Udon Thani, at the weekend.

I understand that he passed away peacefully & unexpectedly, in his sleep.

I believe that the funeral is today (meeting at The Irish Clock at 4.30 this afternoon) but I am not sure of its' location. I am sorry about the extremely short notice but I have only just heard the news.

My regrets to his family, especially his son Jeff.

I, for one, will certainly miss my conversations with him outside the Clock.

Rest in peace Harry.

I met him nearly every day.
Harry was always a friendly, strong boy, always a joke on his lips...
We had a lot of fun with him,Jeff and Jeff's girlfriend,Kai.
They took care about him every day, perfectly.
But,these kind of old guys, they make there own life.
Harry,I'm proud of you, doing in your life, whatever you want.
We discuss many times about situations in Germany/England,old peoples home,
and Harries situation in Thailand.
Old people in England/Germany,inne world,
I know for sure,:Harry did wright.

Harry, today I drink one special beer for you, which one,you will know,
sorry I have to drink alone, forgive me... :D
wish, all people would be like you....
Jeff,Kai,...

No, certainly not!!

This was 95 year old Harry from England who lived in The Top Mansion.

I met Harry on a few occasions and had a lot of respect for the guy.

The first time that I learned of his passing was from Jeff and I was, very much, surprised.

To me, he was one of those guys that would live forever, or deserved to!

R.I.P. Harry, I think that you will be missed by many.

I met Harry outside the Irish Clock he was having his usual half pint of Guiness.

Left my cigarettes on the table and returned inside. Harry brought them back in for me, as I was unawares that I'd misplaced/lost them.

Chatted a little and he was very pleasant and brought a smile to your face.

Very sad news and Rest in Peace, Harry.
