Slow access to Google via TT&T Maxnet ADSL

PostAuthor: lee » February 19, 2009, 11:43 am

I've been having problems loading Google via TT&T Maxnet ADSL for the last couple of days, it's either extremely slow or the page does not load at all. Is anyone else experiencing the same problems?

I can load Google fine when connecting with GPRS. :?

Cheers Galee.

I have just this minute disconnected the ADSL router and reconnected it again and the problem has mysteriously disappeared. I must have had a dodgy connection.

I am a computer dummy and
I have done that many times with various degrees of success.I don't understand why,I assumed that a route was changed that wasn't so busy.Is that what is happening? :?

  Just happened again as I was trying tp post this, now I will see if it works again or not!

Sometimes ADSL modems can choke themselves by opening too many connections. Crappy modems or ones with poor firmware are at risk of this happening, especially if you are running a torrent client. By unplugging the modem for a wee while you will reset it and unblock the line.

Poor physical connections are also a big problem over here as the quality of the hardware usually sucks and the wiring usually looks like it's been done by an 7 year old on acid.

I'm in Bangsaen, this has been going on for two days now.

Called TOT who we use for the office ASDL who denied there was any national problem, but would get someone to check.
Two other comapanies near us one with TT&T the other TOT have the same problem.
In my "loom" he access is TT&T and even now it's really, really slow.

Today, a second TOT guy came out and admitted there is a problem with the CAT access abroad. This does sound consistant with both ISPs having the same problem.
Cheers,

Did you guys ever think it might actually have been the Google host or hosts that might be having a problem??? Yes, I have the same problem, from time to time. My ISP provider is Cat Telecom.
