speeding up videos

Hi all im running vista on the lap top but for some reason the dideo keeps freezing for a few seconds plus when I try and watch the news on the tv on phukey gazette web page it wont play at all tells me its ready but nothing happens , so any of you techno's know what i can do to speed it up, ive been told to look at the buffering settings but i dont know where to find them cheers.

Vlad, have you checked your download/upload speed yet ? www.speedtest.net. you will need to hit the gold pyramid in BKK and it will begin the test, it will vary at different times of the day. your upload needs to be around the 250 to 300 min for watching video.
Maybe you already have tried this if so excuse me.

It says 415 kbps (45%). In the task bar at bottom of screen says 100 mbps That cant be right?I have TOT pay middle of the road speed 800+ baht. Cant remember speed I got from them.

Hi Morti, and welcome back try it several times today and get an average remember all IP's say upto 2meg no guarantees. I will pm you with some other sites to get your test checked.

Was it OK before and just started playing up? ....... few details on speed of Pc and how much ram might help too.

its been ok mostly but vids i watch on here stop and start gets annoying yes just done test says download 519 kb/s and upload is 255kb/s is this good . average , or poor

my conx is way too slow to play any vid from start to finish without annoying pauses while loading, another member suggested, wisely, that once vid starts, hit the pause button, and wait for vid to load fully before hitting play, while reading some other page. works fine for me. good luck.

Even with a super fandango connection 'some' vids do load slow/stop/start......as said above pause it and let it all load then watch.
