The next generation (BPL)

PostAuthor: stattointhailand » November 15, 2008, 12:43 pm

After the excellent showing in the Carling Cup of the Arsenal Kids, I got to thinking about how many others around the country are now a few months, or a season or so away from regular Premiership matches.

My mob ..... Newcastle, are currently playing a host of teenages in the reserves week-in, week-out, and they are gaining the experience that they need, whilst still playing for the U18 Acadamy team who are top of their league.

The likes of Andrew Carroll (who has already played in the FA cup/Carling Cup/Prem League and UEFA cup), is now sitting on the first team bench, along with Callum Morris (18), Kazenga Lua Lua (17), Mark Donninger (19), and Ryan Donaldson (17).
Rave reviews are comeing out of St James Park about Nile Ranger (17) Sammy Ameobi (16), Jonny Godsmark (19) and James Marwood (son of Brian) (18), so things don't look quite so "black" for the toon.
If we can hang on for another season or so, some of these guys will be ready to take the Prem by storm ...... I hope [-o<

Who are the "stars of the future" at your clubs, and who should we be keeping an eye on for our Fantasy teams of the next couple of years?
