The Year of the Bird

I know Steelers don't have feathers, but the rest, Eagles, Ravens and Cardinals, do. I don't have a horse in the race, but I would pick the flightless Steelers to go all the way.

It could be the Year of the Keystone State. Eagles and Steelers in SB XLIII.

if anything, the Eagles are consistant, some more foreplay for the fans, and almost a great comeback. but you cant' turn the ball over and trade field goals for touchdowns and expect to win. good luck to the to Cards, and not quite sure yet who they will be against in Tampa. numbers look good on paper, well except the turnovers and final score. another season, another disappointment, no wonder i'm a fair weather fan...................till next foreplay season ](*,)

Well, this is a great day to be a Cardinal fan.

The last time they won a championship was in the late 40s when the Chicago Cardinals defeated the Philadelphia Eagles.

I follow the Canadian Football League and university football in Canada and the U.S.A., more than the NFL. but it was nice to remember the old Chicago Cardinals.

One of the worst ever trades in NFL history took place when the Chicago Cardinals traded their star, Ollie Matson, to the Los Angeles Rams for 11 non-entities, not one of whom made it with the Cards.

I think the Chicago Cardinals might be the oldest NFL club in history. Perhaps Green Bay has been around longer.

Of course, professional football in Canada stretches back much further with the formation of the Toronto Argonauts in the 1880s or so. The first Grey Cup (Canadian championship) was in 1911, or was it 1909?

Fair weather fan? If only my team (Detroit Lions) could at least give us that much....... no championships since 1957. Forgot that the Cardinals haven't won the big one since 1947.

Pittsburgh 24-13 over the Browns, er Ravens. Pittsburgh has won plenty before now.

Go Cardinals! =D>
