Tonight we mourne - RIP Ivan

PostAuthor: dazedandconfused » July 7, 2006, 5:23 am

Ladies and Gentlemen

I have to tell some unfortunate news, tonight we have lost one of our own, Ivan the Belgium died tonight in fatal mototcylce/car accident.

I have seen many things in my life, but nothing could have prepared me for what I saw in the hospital, many of us have heard of the incident, but only few went to see, it was horrific

Ivan was found with no personal effects that could give a telephone or number or address, my wife and I have registered ourselves with the hospital because so far his GF or wife has not. I cannot contact his family to inform them of the news because I don't have any contact information

If anybody can offer any help, I would be very thankful, the worst thing in life is to die alone!

"to Ivan a true Gentleman"

This is extremely sad news; my heart goes out to all who have been touched by this nightmare of a tragedy.

I am in total shock; I was only drinking with him yesterday afternoon.

I haven't known Ivan for long but he was a top bloke, very friendly, polite and sincere.

Let him rest in peace.

First let me say that I'm sorry for the news.

The best thing to do at this juncture would be to contact his Embassy, they will be able to locate contact information and make notifications.

Again I'm sorry to hear of this

I don't know of any Belgians living around Udon, but have a big circle of Belgian friends. Can someone post his family name? I will inform some private Belgian-LOS forums.

Myself am in Belgium right now for an other two weeks, If there is something I can do from here please let me know.

I had many conversations with Ivan and found him to be a great person.

I know he was a mechanical engineer who worked in the dredging business. He split him time between Udon and the middle east. I don't know if this helps at all.
